Set under the backdrop of a bustling former steel town, Steel City Plant Co. is Bethlehem, Pennsylvania's one-stop urban plant boutique that specializes in pre-potted, pet-safe houseplants catered to dorm, apartment, and home dwellers. This identity was created to juxtapose the styles of the antique steel town and contemporary urban city. The Steelstacks blast furnaces and Star of Bethlehem — two prominent symbols for the area — are highlighted in this identity, complemented by funky, bold typography and vintage letterpress style. Finally, hand-lettered elements add a delicate, holistic, and human touch.
